Another Photographer’s Website

Cathy Ann and Scott Erickson of Ambiance Studios contacted me recently to update their website. They had been on the Kertesz theme and wanted to upgrade to Genesis.*

We were able to complete the cusomization in about a day with Cathy’s site only being down for a matter of hours.If you click on the link to the galleries, you will see that the new site still acts as a powerful SEO wrapper for her Bludomain site. Cool.

Now they have all the magic of the Studiopress Genesis framework* with out losing any of their hard work on the old theme.

How Savvy Is Your Website?

Well here is one that’s plenty savvy.
Last weekend the SavvyPlanners.com website went live. We took their previous static html site and transformed it with a Kertesz platform. We even helped them source a new logo.
Some of our clients are pretty techie and go for the white site and build them out themselves, in this case we did the heavy lifting for the client. Either way, you just can’t beat the results with the Kertesz blogsite.

Our First Portuguese Website

Another adaptation of Kertesz went live this week. This time it was for a photographer in Portugal, Tiago Valente. One of the really cool things about these WordPress sites is that since they are open source you can find just about any tool you need to make it work for you. In this case we had to translate it into Portuguese, including the five letters that are unique to that alphabet. It took some work and a bit of looking, but I think you will agree with Tiego, the site’s owner, that the results are outstanding.
Here is what Tiago had to say:

Having finished the Kertesz setting up, I just want to tell you how happy I am with the final result!
This template really changed my presence in the internet, with its very professional and all easily customizable look. I’m an absolute zero in html or flash programming so I was glad I found Kertesz. It doesn’t matter where you are or what you do, a Kertesz website can make all the difference.

UPDATE: this just in from Tiago!

I can’t belive my eys, after a bit of “tunning” up my site, I now am nº4 and again nº11 in “fotografos profissioais casamentos” in the google search, at least here in Portugal!!!! Amazing!

Other words like only “fotografos casamento” i’m in nº17 (2nd page). I’m working to improve that!

“fotografos profissionais” is about nº 19.

What can I say to you??? Thank you is not enough!

PS – “casamento” in Portuguese (Portugal) translates to wedding or marriage and sometimes bridal.
