Now you just knew I couldn’t go to a bridal show with out doing a booth review post. Again, apologies for my craptastic photography skills.
There were so many great booths yesterday that I had a hard time choosing.
First up, you always hear me telling you that your booth needs to shout what you do. Check this backdrop! An invitation company let everyone know in a beautiful creative way just what they specialized in. You can check here for Southland Fox’s website. As an aside, if you follow my other blog or my Pinterest, you know I just love giant paper flowers.
Next up, a couple of food service companies had some great ideas.
Savor the Flavor Catering came up with an answer to the age old question of how to display food with out it starting to look like hell by the end of the show or having creepy people try to eat stuff that has been sitting out for hours. Put it under glass. I’m not going to tell you how they did it but it was brilliantly simple and if you are on it you can figure it out. Way to go ladies! You’re brilliant.
Next in the “If you’ve got it, flaunt it” category. Signature Cakes by Vicki thought that putting their most recent health inspection front and center was a good idea. Baby, if I had a 100 you better believe it would have been there. Nice touch that it next to a book of reviews!
I would have done a little nicer job of displaying my samples (lower left corner)
Finally a word about collateral.
John Jordan Films has produced one of the best pieces of collateral that I have seen in a long time. It visually striking on over-sized high quality glossy card stock. It is written in a way that speaks directly to his target market; in other words it isn’t in some lame corporate speak. It includes ball park pricing and reviews. The only thing I had to say when I spoke to him beside WOW! was ” I would have left the back matte instead of glossy so you could write on it.”
This was in my email from John this morning
After you mentioned the thing about one side being matte, a bride did try to write herself a note on one, so she proved you absolutely right! 🙂
