True SEO is Content & Structure

I have been saying for a while that the rules of Search have changed. It is all about content and structure.

Recently I had my eyes opened to just how powerful it is.

I was talking to two of the people whose sites we recently launched. Holy Cow Batman!!!!

Marc Currier of M. Couturier Photographer told me today that as a result of the new site we did for him, his site visits and page views have quadrupled in less than a month. With his old site if he Googled wedding photographer and his town he was more than 25 pages deep in the search.

Now he is #4 of the first Google page! From buried in the back to number 4 on the front page in less than a month. Unbelievable! Mark has our Kertesz blogsite. We didn’t do anything different on Mark’s site them we do on anyone else’s.

It is the combination of content and the sheer elegance of the WordPress structure we are using. And how we approach real SEO.

Next I talked to Vicki Sanders of Branching Out Event Florists. We built a blog website for her back in June. She called me yesterday over the edge excited. Vicki’s style is definitely contemporary, it’s what she loves.

Yesterday she Googled contemporary weddings + her town and was stunned to see that she came up #2 on Google and # 1 on Google images.

Like Mark, Vicki has been on the web for many years but this is the first time her own website ever came up in a generic search. Again, we didn’t do anything special on her site; it is the power of how we address SEO and implement the WordPress platform to create a website.

If your site isn’t ranking on the search terms your potential clients are using, you are out of luck. If the only way your site comes up is if you type in your name or business you are losing the race.
