Great post!

I found this when searching google for "Flash indexing vs html". The first site I landed on was google's own webmaster help page. I asked the question in a forum there, got a few answers that were not terribly satisfying, and then got reprimanded by a poster for elaborating on my question, in hopes of a more complete answer. Then, I found this post and *eureka!* here's my answer!

THANK YOU for spelling it out in plain English for us "non-webmasters"!! Because of this post, I'm going to check out the rest of this site.

i couldnt agree more with your blog.
The number 1 thing a website must be is user friendly. I came across this blog through a google search after this site http://www.nbc.com/Deal_or_No_Deal/playwin/dondregister.shtml
pissed me off. just try to click that moving case. can you do it? are you chasing the damn thing around the screen, because the case doesnt stop spinning until your mouse is directly over it.
i love html!

Glad you liked it. Joomla is great but what can be done on a blog platform today is even easier.
As for updating...I don't get why today anyone would have a site they couldn't update themselves.Even if they are not a techie.

Good stuff. I recently changed my web site from being flashed based to Joomla, a content managment system (CMS) that has seemed to be much easier to update and be searched.

I would agree that flash is pretty, but not as functional at HTML. Truly form should follow function.
